Registration

How do I register?

Event Registration is available here. You may register online or print out the form to return by fax or mail.

How much is registration and is there a deadline for registration?

Early bird registration is closed. Regular registration must be recieved by June 1, 2008. Fee for Car+Driver is $175; Passengers are $125 each. Additional fees apply for tours, premium parking, and other activities. For complete details, see the registration form.

My spouse and I are flying to Indiana and so will not be bringing a Model T. Do we register as participants?

Yes, in order to participate in all of the exciting events and receive all of the benefits of the Centennial, one member should sign up as a Driver & Car (so you will receive the Official Program Book, car magnet, and many additional commemorative items) and your spouse should sign up as a Passenger.

Can I attend for just one or two days?

Day passes will be available for the general public on Tuesday through Saturday for $5. Day pass has limited access to activities (see below).

How do I change my itinerary?

Log back into registration, click on “edit itinerary,” and follow the prompts. Be sure to follow through and pay for any additional items you have selected.

I signed up for a motor home space for Monday thru Friday. I talked to my friends and found they are staying Sunday thru Saturday. I logged back into my registration and extended the days but cannot pay for the extra days. What did I do wrong?

Once your registration for camping is complete, to make any changes you must contact the registration administrator by email or phone.

Can I cancel my registration at any time?

If it is necessary to cancel your registration, please notify the Model T Ford Club of America as soon as possible, in writing, by U.S. mail or fax. E-mail requests for cancellations will not be accepted. Cancellation notices received

before March 1, 2008 = 100% of total registration fees
between March 2 and June 1, 2008 = 75% of total registration fees
after June 1, 2008 = NO REFUNDS

Any refund checks will be issued no earlier than 30 days after the end of the event and no later than 90 days after the end of the event.

Housing

Are hotels in the area sold out?

No. Although there is very limited availability in the hotels closest to the Wayne County Fairgrounds, there may still be a room available due to cancellations. It’s best to check with the hotels. In addition, there are over 400 hotels located within a 40 mile radius of Richmond that have rooms, plus there are campsites at the fairgrounds, area campgrounds, and B&Bs.

What is the best way to check hotel availability?

The best way is to use the Centennial T Party exclusive online hotel booking website. You can check availability, rates, location from the fairgrounds, amenities, etc. See the detailed directions in the next question on how to make an online reservation.

I understand that housing is available at Earlham College. How do I make reservations?

DO NOT CONTACT EARLHAM COLLEGE DIRECTLY TO MAKE RESERVATIONS

Rooms at Earlham College Residence Hall are now available for online booking for the Centennial event. Earlham College provides accommodations close to the Wayne County Fairgrounds (less than 2 miles) and less than a mile from downtown Richmond. Rates are as follows:

Room with 1 twin bed = $42.85 plus tax per night
Room with 2 twin beds = $54.95 plus tax per night
Each room has either a private bath or a secure shared bath
No trailer parking is allowed on campus

There is still availability in area hotels and B&Bs, although they may not be in Richmond or Centerville. Take advantage of the Premium Trailer Parking to leave your trailer and T at the fairgrounds and commute in your modern car to an area hotel. The same procedures noted above should be followed to book an area hotel using the online booking system.

Camping

What are campsite fees and site sizes?

Campsites at the Wayne County Fairgrounds are 20x60. Electric sites have 30 amp service. There is a minimum five (5) day rental @$50/day for electric and $40/day for primitive ($250 minimum electric, $200 minimum primitive).

How early (what day) can we arrive with our motor home to park on the field? When do we have to be off the grounds?

Earliest check-in at the fairground campsites is 8:00 am on Sunday, July 20. Motor homes must be off the field by noon on Sunday, July 27, 2008.

I want my motor home to be located next to my friends. Is that possible?

Yes. We will make every effort to follow your wishes. Be sure to list your preferences on the registration under “Campsite location request.”

Are there water hook-ups for the motor homes?

No, but water will be available on the fairgrounds. Dumping stations are also available on the grounds. Water delivery and pumping services may be available for an extra fee.

Can I park my trailer on the same spot with my motor home?

Yes, if it fits into the space. The motor home spaces are 20'x60'.

Parking

Tell me about the special trailer parking.

The space is 10’x48’ and is lighted and secured. The parking will be either on the fairgrounds or adjacent to the fairgrounds.

Do I have to reserve special preferred trailer parking for my trailer and Model T?

No. All registrants will have parking available to them. The preferred parking will allow room for your trailer and modern car, making it convenient for you to drive to the space, park your modern car next to your trailer, and drive off in your Model T. The cost of preferred trailer is a flat rate of $60 for the entire week Sunday thru Saturday night (checkout time is Sunday noon).

Tours

What kind of tours are available?

Three free tours will be available covering Richmond, Antique Alley/National Road, and Hagerstown. There are 7 full-day tours available including a Nature Lover’s Tour, Covered Bridges, and Annie Oakley Country.

If I sign up for one paid tour, can I trade it for another tour?

If the tour you want to trade for is not full, yes. No refunds will be given for persons who could not participate in, but paid for the tour.

General

When should we arrive?

You can arrive on Sunday if you wish. Registration will open at 10am on Sunday and will open officially at 8am on Monday. See Schedule of Events.

Is the final banquet on Friday night or Saturday?

The final banquet is on Friday night; however, there are several activities scheduled on Saturday. See Schedule of Events.

Will golf carts be available during the week?

Golf cart rentals will be available at the Wayne County Fairgrounds from July 20 through July 27.

Pricing: $200 + tax for the entire event if reservation made by May 1, 2008. Higher rates apply after May 1. Daily rates will be extended based on availability at the time of the event.
